Most quotes come back inside two business days; complex specifications (whole-home film, multi-storey body-corp glazing, listed-heritage UV work) take 3–5 days because the spec deserves it.

For a residential window clean — single-storey, two-storey, end-of-lease, gutters, solar panels — the book-online flow is faster. It returns an instant price preview without a quote callback. The quote page is the right entry only if your job sits outside the standard cleaning brackets or runs to commercial scale.

What we need to quote properly

Three things make the quote accurate. The more you can give us, the closer the written quote is to the final invoice.

• A photo of the windows and the room. A wide shot of the elevation, a close shot of the glass, a daylight shot of the glare problem. Phone snap is fine. Even a blurry photo helps us read the glazing era and the room aspect 80% of the time.
• The suburb and orientation. Drive time changes the cost a little; more importantly, the suburb tells us the housing-stock era, glass profile and prevailing sun aspect. A 1920s villa in Norwood with original leadlight sits in a different conversation to a 2015 Mawson Lakes townhouse with floor-to-ceiling west-facing glass.
• What you want done. Solar film? UV protection on heritage interiors? Privacy on a bathroom? Security upgrade for non-safety glazing? Commercial cleaning on a quarterly route? Pick “Not sure — please advise” if that’s honest — we’ll tell you which film direction (or which cleaning frequency) the situation actually warrants.

Architectural film — the consultative process

Most film quotes go through two steps before a number lands.

1. Free posted sample swatch first. If the job is residential film and you haven’t yet seen the film against your own light, the free-sample funnel is the better entry — we post a 5×5cm swatch in two business days, then call to scope the job once you’ve held it up to your own window.
2. Measurement-and-quote site visit. Architectural film is priced by linear glass area, frame access, glass type (single, toughened, laminated, double-glazed), and the AS standard the install runs to. The site visit takes 30–45 minutes; the written quote follows inside 48 hours. Quotes name the film brand, the WERS rating, the visible light transmission, the SHGC, the warranty term, and the AS standard.

Commercial cleaning — what changes the quote

Commercial cleaning quotes turn on five variables. The form captures them; the site visit confirms them.

• Premises type and trading hours. A Norwood Parade cafe needs after-hours work; a Salisbury warehouse runs daytime. The schedule changes the rate.
• Square metreage and access. Ground-level shopfront vs first-floor office vs multi-storey body-corp common-glazing — three different rate cards.
• Frequency. Weekly, fortnightly, monthly, quarterly. Recurring schedules carry a meaningful discount.
• Documentation requirements. Audit-ready reporting, on-site logbook, induction-required sites — built into the contract.
• Specialty work. Rope access, signage film cleaning, anti-graffiti maintenance, body-corp scope. Quoted as line-items, not buried in the rate.
